Dental Bonding

Who wants to live with cracked, chipped, or permanently stained teeth?  Nobody.  Luckily for those facing these issues, there is a permanent fix that can be implemented – and it can be done in a single visit.

What is the process for getting dental bonding?

We’re proud to say that Third Coast Dental Group has treated hundreds of people in need of bonding, giving us the experience necessary to make each and every one of our patients comfortable.

Sometimes, chips in the teeth or severe discolorations due to activities such as smoking or daily five-dollar coffees, are visible. Other times, however, the damage may only be noticeable to someone with an experienced dental background (such as a receding gum line).  Bonding can also cover small imperfections that may not be due to habits or trauma, such as small gaps between teeth or a misshapen tooth.

Once your dentist has decided that bonding is the right course of action for you, he or she will coat your tooth with a conditioning liquid that acts as a primer for the composite resin solution. Next, your dentist will match the color of your natural teeth and apply the composite resin.  Finally, the dentist will polish and shape it until it looks and feels like a beautiful, natural tooth.

MAKE A GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION WITH YOUR SMILE!

Your smile is one of the first things that someone notices about you. Make a lasting first impression with your perfect, dazzling smile. However, if your smile is damaged, porcelain veneers may be the ideal solution for you. Call 231-352-9221 for an appointment today.

Veneers are a thin, semi-transparent tooth shaped “shell” that are custom made of porcelain. They are permanently bonded to your natural teeth which are located in your “smile zone” to enhance their shape, color, length or size.

What Is Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding is a way to solve your smile’s problems by bonding the tooth in question with a composite resin.

While many people find this option to be an excellent solution, the composite resin material used isn’t as strong as your natural tooth. This means that biting your nails is out! And definitely don’t try to open anything with your teeth, especially not after a bonding procedure.
